Husband and wife Robbie and Julie Bryant of Southwest Baptist University received the school’s Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards.
Staff member Robbie Bryant is the campus maintenance supervisor and has worked 14 years in SBU’s physical plant. Associate professor of education Julie Bryant has been a member of the SBU faculty since 2002.

Government
Greene County
received the Missouri Association of Counties’ 2016 Achievement Award for its financial transparency through the county’s open-book management program. County Auditor Cindy Stein and others were presented the award at the annual MAC conference.

Firefighter Michael Kuss of the Springfield Fire Department received the Medal of Valor for a swift-water rescue performed in May 2015.

Kuss and other firefighters helped rescue a family of five swept away during a major storm and flash flooding. Kuss was involved with 10 rescues in 2015.

Health Care
Amedisys Home Health of Springfield
was recognized as one of the top-performing U.S. home health agencies in the 2016 HomeCare Elite. Agencies are assessed by quality outcomes, best practices, patient experience, consistency and financial performance.

Susie Robertson and Brandon Forester joined the team at Faith Immediate Care & Occupational Medicine, an independent urgent care and occupational health clinic in north Springfield. Robertson is an advance practice registered nurse and certified family nurse practitioner, and Forester is a certified nurse practitioner.

Robin Craycroft, a licensed professional counselor, joined Counseling Solutions of the Ozarks. Craycroft worked in social services before joining the private practice.

QPS Bio-Kinetic appointed Brendon Bourg as general manager and vice president. An employee of 20 years, he previously served as director of budgeting and scheduling, and worked in logistics, project management and study coordination.

Cox HealthPlans presented an Elite Agency Achievement Award to HM Employee Benefits and Risk Management.

Jim Astemborski joined National Enzyme Co. as director of operations. He most recently served as production manager at ConAgra Foods and has nearly 25 years of operations experience. Astemborski earned an MBA from Regis University in Denver.

Law
Spencer Fane LLP added Nikki Hutson as an associate in the firm’s labor and employment group. With a bachelor’s in management from MSU and a Juris Doctor from University of Missouri-Columbia, she has six years of experience working in labor and employment law and commercial litigation.

Nonprofit
The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri appointed Sue Davis as executive director. She previously worked four years at Paws Chicago, including a stint as executive director, before relocating to the Fordland area.

Transportation
The Missouri Department of Transportation appointed Travis Koestner as the district engineer for the Southwest District. He previously worked as assistant district engineer in the Jefferson City Central District and has 22 years of MoDOT experience.

Media
Jana Bounds joined Springfield Business Journal as a reporter. She has two years of writing experience, most recently as a freelance journalist and publicist. Bounds earned a bachelor’s in professional writing from Drury University.
