Vickie Hicks
joined the Greater Ozarks Associates of Thrivent Financial as a community engagement leader. Previously, she worked at Missouri State University as a corporate relations specialist and at KPM CPAs PC as marketing director.

Gary Wood, a partner at Compere Robinette CPAs, was one of 41 certified public accountants selected by the American Institute of CPAs as a member of the 2018 Leadership Academy. The AICPA asked him to be a charter member of a networking group for young accounting firm owners.

Central Bank added Liz Trader as banking center manager-retail officer, Andy Redman as vice president-commercial lender and Jeremy Knottek as vice president-commercial loan officer. Trader has 18 years of experience in customer service and sales. With a bachelor’s in administrative management from MSU, Redman has 15 years of experience in banking. Knottek has six years of experience in banking and a bachelor’s in finance from MSU.

Ryan Groose, vice president, investment management consultant and financial adviser for Morgan Stanley, was named to Forbes Magazine’s list of America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors.

Construction
Branco Enterprises Inc.
ranked as a Top 100 Contracting Firm in the Midwest by Engineering News-Record for the fourth consecutive year. At No. 90, Branco was the only firm based in southwest Missouri named to the list.

Morelock Builders & Associates Inc. promoted Jeff Renkoski to general superintendent/associate. With a bachelor’s in construction management from MSU, he was worked for the firm as a field superintendent since August 2013.

Education
Drury University
was selected to The Princeton Review’s Best 384 Colleges, becoming one of five new schools on the 2019 list. Drury also was named to the list of Best Midwestern schools.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson appointed Evangel University professor Donna Washburn to serve a three-year term on the Southwest Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board. She is one of nine members of the board. Washburn has taught social work and counseling classes at Evangel since 2000.

Jeff Huinda was appointed Drury’s executive vice president of administration and chief financial officer. He has a bachelor’s in accounting from Central Philippine University and an MBA from MSU.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson appointed Lisa Elmore, of Fair Grove, to the Missouri Board of Examiners for Hearing Instrument Specialists. She is a board-certified and state-licensed hearing instrument specialist, an adjunct faculty member of the Hearing Instrument Science program at Ozarks Technical Community College and a member of the international and state hearing societies.

Entertainment
TripAdvisor rated Silver Dollar City No. 16 among its Top 25 Amusement Parks in the World. In America, Silver Dollar City was the 11th-ranked theme park.

Human Resources
Yvette Medley
was named human resources and payroll manager for Andy B’s Entertainment and Bowling Centers. She has a bachelor’s in management with an emphasis in human resources from MSU.

Media
The E.W. Scripps Co. named Tom Oakes operations manager for KTTS-FM, KSGF-AM/FM, KRVI-FM and KSPW-FM, as well as program director for KTTS-FM.

Workforce
Taney County
became a Certified Work Ready Community after completing the ACT Work Ready program. ACT Work Ready Communities provide a community-based framework that focuses on current workforce needs and helps reduce skills gaps.
