Banking & Finance
Amelia Kauffman, staff accountant at KPM CPAs PC, became a licensed certified public accountant with the American Institute of CPAs. With a bachelor’s in accounting and finance from Drury University, she has three years of accounting experience.

Accounting Today ranked KPM CPAs among the top Midwest firms. 2018 marks the fourth year KPM made the list, which includes 21 companies from Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Arvest Bank hired Chandler Johnston as a regional branch sales manager in Springfield. She manages bank branches on Fremont Avenue and Republic Road. Johnston has worked 14 years in sales, networking and business development in corporate and retail settings.

Culinary
Melinda Burrows, executive chef at Hickory Hills Country Club, became a certified culinary administrator, an accreditation from the American Culinary Foundation. She has 30 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Education
Jill Patterson, Title IX coordinator at Missouri State University, was elected president of the Springfield Public Schools Board of Education, succeeding Denise Frederick. Patterson served as vice president of the board for the past two years. She was elected to the board in 2015, and her current term expires in 2021.

Tim Rosenbury, architect and managing partner at Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc., was elected vice president of the SPS Board of Education. He also works as an adjunct faculty member at Drury University’s Hammons School of Architecture. Rosenbury was elected to the board in 2014, and his current term expires in 2020.

Health Care
Phoenix Home Care Inc. hired Beverly Robertson as a health care consultant and Rydell Mynatt as home health billing manager. With nine years of industry experience, Robertson works with physicians and providers on home care services. Mynatt, who previously held positions in community, client and financial services, oversees a team of 25 employees.

Brandi Crane was promoted to Phoenix Home Care’s public relations manager. She started with the company in 2015 as a billing specialist, then moved on to become a public relations representative.

Municipal
Paul Carroll and Gus Krafve were appointed by Springfield City Council to the Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Retirement System Board of Trustees. Their terms will expire April 30, 2021.

Michael Ellegaard, Josh Reed and Garen Gilmore were appointed to Springfield’s Building Trades Examination and Certification Board. The term for Ellegaard will expire Oct. 1, 2020, with terms expiring Dec. 1, 2020, for Reed and Gilmore.

Derek Lee was appointed to the city’s Board of Adjustment. His term will expire Jan. 1, 2022.

Council appointed Noel Elliot and reappointed James Williams to the Police Civilian Review Board. Their terms will expire May 1, 2021.

Council confirmed an appointment for Rachel Bridges and reappointments for Angela Dowler-Pryor and Jayne Bullard to the city’s Citizens’ Advisory Committee for Community Development, with terms expiring May 1, 2021.

Mike Jungers was appointed to the Mayor’s Commission on Human Rights and Community Relations to fill Angela Myers’ unexpired term. Jungers will serve until Oct. 1, 2019.

Gene Hartley and Shawn Robertson were reappointed to the Citizens’ Tax Oversight Committee. Their terms will expire May 1, 2021.
