Banking and Finance
Monte McNew was promoted to president at Springfield First Community Bank, where he’s worked since 2014. McNew previously served as executive vice president over the commercial lending team.

OakStar Bank hired Doug Page as senior vice president and loan officer. A graduate of Upper Iowa University, he has over 30 years of banking experience.

Croley Insurance and Financial Services added Todd Gregory as an investment adviser representative. His company, Gregory Financial, is partnering with Croley Insurance to make investment advice services available.

Education
Drury University appointed Wendy Flanagan as vice president of marketing and communications. She comes from working two decades at FleishmannHillard, where she served as executive vice president and general manager.

Hospitality
The TownePlace Suites Springfield
received nine 2016 Marriott Brand Awards, winning all eight honors in the customer service categories as well as the 2016 Chairman’s Award.

Human Resources
Penmac Staffing Services Inc. promoted Alyssa Ludwig to controller in the corporate accounting department and Sherry Barto to logistics director in education staffing. Ludwig’s last five years at the company have been spent as accounting manager, and Barto was instrumental in Penmac’s substitute teaching program, serving as education staffing coordinator. Both positions were newly created.

Insurance
Millennium Brokers LLC joined Valley Insurance Agency Alliance, a group of over 100 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois. Owned by Matt Phillips and Brandon Thompson, Millennium Brokers is a full-service insurance agency founded in 2016.

Media and Communications
Folio: Top Women in Media named Logan Aguirre, president and associate publisher of Whitaker Publishing, an honoree in the Corporate Visionaries category. The awards recognize progress either in the industry or at their companies through revenue or audience growth, brand extensions, product launches, business transformation or thought leadership.

Stefanie Nentrup joined Mid-West Family Broadcasting as events and promotions coordinator. She previously served as brand ambassador of Market Source, and also worked for Springfield Music and Children’s Miracle Network.

Whitaker Publishing received two Niche Media awards: one for company culture at 417 Magazine and another for the event launch of Biz 417’s Think Summit in January.

Clear Entertainment and Marketing Group in Branson received 14 awards from the American Advertising Federation for photography, web design, graphic design and ad layout. The agency earned seven gold ADDY awards, five silvers and the judges’ choice.

Nonprofit
Downtown Springfield Association hired Lillian Stone as communication manager and Bethany Bell as event manager. Previously employed by 417 Magazine, Stone handles DSA’s branding and cooperative marketing as well as social media platforms. Bell, a previous public relations and social media manger at Deep Group Advertising, coordinates community events, such as ArtsFest, Cider Days and Taste of SoMo.

Sales and Service
Brookline Doorworks
received a 5-star rating as well as the Ruby Award from garage door manufacturer C.H.I. Overhead Doors. The ratings considered service, conduct, reputation, accreditation and commitment, while the Ruby status represents the second-highest level of sales among C.H.I. dealers.
