Missouri sheriff pleads guilty to wire fraud

Mississippi County Sheriff Cory Hutcheson pleaded guilty yesterday to two felony counts of wire fraud and identity theft.

Hutcheson, 35, admitted he used the cellphone numbers of police officers, friends and others — including a judge — to illegally track their locations.

Hutcheson agreed to resign as part of the guilty plea, through which some 26 other counts will be dismissed.
