Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin is scheduled to speak this fall at Missouri State University.
Matlin, who also is an author and activist, is slated to be the keynote speaker for the Public Affairs Conference on Sept. 20.
Matlin, who lost her hearing as a toddler, "has used her platform to champion the deaf and hard of hearing community, as well as advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and access," said Brent Dunn, executive director of the MSU Foundation.
