A recent name change to a Trenton-based four-branch Missouri law firm was prompted by the retirement and promotion of Springfield attorneys.
Following managing partner Rod Widger’s retirement at the end of 2017 and the promotion of attorney Shawn Battagler, the firm changed names to Andereck, Evans, Lewis, Figg & Battagler LLC from Andereck, Evans, Widger, Lewis & Figg, according to a news release.
Battagler is now the firm’s managing partner. Widger, who’s been with the firm for 35 years, is staying on in a limited of-counsel role to smooth the transition.
In addition to leading the entire law firm, Battagler also works out of Springfield as the local branch manager. Widger also served as senior partner at the Springfield office, according to the release.
The company’s website lists locations in Springfield, Jefferson City, Smithville and Trenton. Its practice areas include personal injury, employment law and cases for corporations, businesses and municipalities.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
