Kellogg recalls Honey Smacks cereal

Kellogg yesterday issued a recall of Honey Smacks cereal on salmonella concerns.

The Centers for Disease Control reports the latest salmonella outbreak has sickened 73 people in 31 states. Of those, 24 are known to be hospitalized.

"Kellogg’s Honey Smacks sweetened puffed wheat cereal are a likely source of this outbreak," a Thursday night FDA outbreak investigation update reads.
