Kate Spade's death sent her brand's sales up 31 percent, according to the New York Business Journal.
Tapestry (NYSE: TPR), which owns the Kate Spade, Coach and Stuart Weitzman brands, yesterday forecast a full-year sales increase above analysts' expectations.
The company cited a boost from the Kate Spade products and merchandise after Spade died of suicide.
