A former southwest Missouri bookkeper pleaded guilty to stealing more than $145,000 from the Jasper School District.
Karla Justice, 55, of Columbus, Kansas, served as head bookkeeper for the school district 2009-16.
Between 2014 and 2017, she authorized more than $80,000 in extra pay for herself. She also padded her retirement account and made payments unrelated to education.
