He’s building this four-story, 99-suite hotel behind his Hampton Inn fronting Glenstone and across Kerr Street from Enactus’ world headquarters. Designed with a business center, community space and pool, the Home2 Suites brand is described as pet-friendly and environmentally sustainable with ecofriendly construction materials and recycling options, according to Hilton.com. The Home2 Suites is one of four hotel projects at various stages in Springfield that will add over 400 rooms to the market. Project manager Mark Roark of Cornerstone Building Services said the Branson-based contractor mostly performs infill work in Springfield, including the Pie Five Pizza slated to open on Battlefield Road.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
