Project description: Officials say by year’s end the DoubleTree by Hilton plans to open its convention center expansion. Crews broke ground in June. The project would bring the hotel’s total meeting space to 20,000 square feet, and hotel officials say they’ll be able to accommodate up to 500 people. David Horst, the project coordinator for O’Reilly Hospitality Management, said Juli Russell Interior Design Group LLC did the interior design work and frankZdesign LLC handled the landscape architecture. The addition is going up on the hotel’s western parking lot.
