Project description: Springfield’s third Culver’s restaurant is underway by the same family behind Bala Property LLC, the developer of the other Culver’s in Springfield. Jered Addotta is spearheading the newest location. “They felt like they were missing a good portion of the market by not having one more centralized,” said Garrett Dowling, the project manager at Branco Enterprises. “There’s a lot going on there – a lot of foot and street traffic.” The property along Sunshine Street and Fremont Avenue, near Mercy Hospital Springfield, was rezoned by Springfield City Council earlier this year to make way for the restaurant. It will be Culver’s 32nd location in Missouri, according to the company’s website. The Wisconsin-based chain, which opened its first restaurant in 1984, operates over 600 locations in 24 states – eight of which have at least one Culver’s opening soon.
