Project description: Two engineering firms that currently share leased office space in Chesterfield Village are partnering on a three-level office building a couple of blocks to the west. Principals Ryan Jones of CJD Engineering and Alan Mettemeyer of Mettemeyer Engineering co-own the property under ENGR Properties LLC. Plans call for their firms to share over 8,000 square feet on the second floor and a third-level mezzanine, said CJD Engineering principal Allen Davis. “Our employees interact with theirs on a daily basis,” Davis said, calling the shared office resources “a big city approach.”
The firms have no shared ownership; projects they’ve worked on together are Bear Village, H Design Group’s office and First Baptist Church of Bolivar. Davis also said the first floor will have about 5,500 square feet available for lease.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
