Project description: Principals with Arkansas-based Reliance Health Care Inc. and Springfield-based Miller Commerce are partnering to develop a 120-bed skilled nursing center. Just off East Primrose Street and west of the Medical Mile, Birch Pointe is designed to offer short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and memory care services, said Kyle Cook, a project manager with Miller Commerce. According to Springfield Business Journal reporting, the three service areas are split into individual zones with their own dining areas, open spaces and courtyards. Cook said planned amenities include a bistro, wireless internet and a salon. Between mid-2014 and mid-2016, over $65 million in senior living projects either wrapped up or started, according to SBJ research.
