FDA approves first generic EpiPen

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the first generic EpiPen.

The government agency gave the go-ahead to Teva Pharmaceuticals' proposal to make a generic epinephrine auto injector.

The injector would be an alternative to Mylan Pharmaceuticals’ EpiPen.
