Facebook yesterday announced it removed another 800 pages and accounts that violate the company's rules "against spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior."
Weeks before the U.S. midterm elections, Facebook announced the removal of pages was related to "sensational political content - regardless of its political slant - to build an audience and drive traffic to their websites."
"And like the politically motivated activity we've seen, the 'news' stories or opinions these accounts and Pages share are often indistinguishable from legitimate political debate," the Facebook blog post said.
