Eric joined the Springfield Business Journal staff in September of 2000 as a staff reporter. While reporting the news is still Eric's passion, he has served as editor since April 2006. Eric leads a staff of six, who together fill the pages of Springfield Business Journal and SBJ.net with the most relevant and timely business news in Southwest Missouri. Eric likens his professional role to that of a "conductor that sometimes plays second fiddle." He said, "I manage people, words and content to keep the paper in tune, but I also must produce those things to keep it all humming along."

Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/ Broadcasting from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill. While still in school Eric worked at the Glimmerglass student newspaper as a sports writer and editor.

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Eric replied: "The freshness of each day. I learn something or meet someone new everyday. This business community is full of intriguing characters, and I have the good fortune of telling their stories and making key connections."[[In-content Ad]]
