More than 40 employers in the health care, manufacturing, public safety and construction industries will be represented today at a hiring event hosted by the Missouri Job Center.
City of Springfield business service representative William Schroeder estimated via email the companies are seeking up to 1,000 employees combined. A few other hiring companies might be added, he said, before the 9 a.m.-noon event at the center’s 2900 E. Sunshine St. office. Schroeder was unable to provide estimates of jobs sought by individual employers.
Employers scheduled to be at the event include O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY), CoxHealth, Mercy Hospital Springfield, Citizens Memorial Healthcare, Integrity Home Care Inc., SRC Heavy Duty and Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co., according to a news release.
