Federal Education Secretary Betsy DeVos will cancel $150 million in student loan debt after losing a court battle.
The funding is meant to protect student loan borrowers affected by shuttered schools or who were defraued by their colleges.
Roughly half of the funding will go toward former students of Corinthian Colleges, a for-profit chain of colleges that went bankrupt in 2015.
