CoxHealth hiring 140

CoxHealth is working with the Missouri Job Center and Ozark Region Workforce Development Board to fill 140 openings.

The 4-6 p.m. Oct. 19 event at Cox South spans 14 departments at the hospital and includes the following jobs: environmental services technicians, patient transporters, medical assistants and secretaries, customer service representatives, child care assistants, registration specialists, fitness instructors, telecommunications specialists and maintenance mechanics, according to a news release.

CoxHealth ranked second this year on Springfield Business Journal’s list of the largest employers in the Queen City metropolitan statistical area, with 5,876 employees. The top employer, Mercy Springfield Communities, had 9,095 workers.

The Missouri Job Center and Ozark Region Workforce also are helping with three other hiring events this week.

H&R Block plans to fill 35 seasonal office positions during a 1:30-4:45 p.m. event today at the job center’s 2900 E. Sunshine St. office, according to a news release.

Also today, Human Resource Staffing seeks 18 industrial hires and six professional and clerical positions. The job fair is scheduled 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Plaza Towers parking lot, 1923 S. Glenstone Ave.

Tomorrow, a dozen retailers at Battlefield Mall are participating in a hiring event seeking 75 seasonal employees. The event is scheduled 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at JCPenney.
