Citing federal tax reform, Commerce Bank announced it would give thousands of its employees a $1,000 bonus.
Company officials said 3,450 full-time employees, or 75 percent of its workforce, would receive the bonus. Some part-time employees would get a $250 bonus.
Commerce joins a growing list of companies, including Stifel Financial and U.S. Bancorp, that have announced employee bonuses prompted by the federal tax changes.
