Coca-Cola’s Q2 profit hurt by charge, but still tops Street

Tumbling profits for Coca-Cola in the second quarter were affected by a one-time charge, but adjusted results still topped most Wall Street expectations as more people shifted to juices and no-sugar sodas, according to the Associated Press.

The world’s biggest beverage maker earned $1.37 billion, or 32 cents per share, for the three months ended June 30. That compares with $3.45 billion, or 79 cents per share, a year earlier.
