The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce this morning revealed the finalists of its yearly Small Business Award.
The chamber’s annual award luncheon, during which the winner will be crowned, is scheduled for May 2 at Oasis Hotel & Convention Center, according to a news release.
The finalists, in alphabetical order, are:
• Atlas Security Service Inc., a full-service alarm security company;
• Complete Automotive, a vehicle maintenance and repair company;
• Great River Engineering Inc., a civil engineering and surveying firm;
• OzAir Charter Service, the aircraft company owned by Burgess Aircraft Management LLC; and
• Revel Advertising, an advertising and branding agency.
The finalists are selected from applications based on company history, management philosophy, challenge response, innovation and community contributions, according to the release.
“Supporting small business is critical to keeping our economy healthy and vibrant,” said Matt Morrow, Springfield chamber president, in the release. “We’re proud to honor the success of these five companies, because it’s one more example of the enthusiasm, opportunity and entrepreneurial spirit that are thriving in our region.”
Last year’s Small Business Award winner was Askinosie Chocolate LLC.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
