CenturyLink informed employees Thursday the company has suspended merit raises for 2018.
"CenturyLink, as all businesses, continually evaluates the company’s cost structure and business practices and adjusts operations to meet the needs of the business,” said Annmarie Sartor, external communication manager for CenturyLink, in a statement to The News-Star.
The move follows CenturyLink's November deal to purchase Level 3 Communications for $34 billion.
