Health insurer Centene announced yesterday it would buy Fidelis Care for $3.7 billion.
Through Fidelis, Centene would purchase an established insurer in New York's Affordable Care Act, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage markets.
Through the first half of the year, Fidelis posted nearly $5 billion in revenue and had over 1.6 million health plan members.
Centene had nearly 1.1 million customers enrolled in ACA marketplace plans as of June 30.
