CBO projects way less coverage under GOP health care bill

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office is projecting millions of Americans will be uninsured by 2026 under the House Republican health care bill.

The CBO, along with the Joint Committee on Taxation, found 24 million more Americans would be uninsured by that time than under the Affordable Care Act. That includes 14 million by next year.

The American Health Care Act, however, would reduce the federal deficit by $337 billion over 10 years, according to the CBO.
