A dozen retailers at Battlefield Mall are participating in a holiday hiring fair.

Between them, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Sears, Earthbound Trading Co., Express Inc., Finish Line, Old Navy, Pandora, Pink, Rack Room Shoes, Things Remembered and Victoria’s Secret seek 75 seasonal employees, said mall spokeswoman Kelley Santiago. A breakdown of the hires by employer was not available by deadline.

The Battlefield Mall tenants are working with the Missouri Job Center for the event scheduled 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 18 at JCPenney, according to a news release.

“As a significant source of jobs and tax revenue, we are pleased to work with our retailers and the Missouri Job Center for the third year in a row to help those in need of work,” Battlefield Mall General Manager Michael Martin said in the release.

The retailers are looking for full- and part-time salespeople, cashiers and managers.

During the past month, the Missouri Job Center and Ozark Region Workforce Development Board have assisted over 40 employers seeking thousands of new workers.

In late September, the organizations helped host a job fair for businesses who had 2,730 jobs available. Bass Pro Shops held an event Oct. 6 to fill 80 open positions. Missouri Job Center spokeswoman Megan Short said the entity is working on tracking hires made after the events. She said 17 of the 40 have responded to survey requests.
