During the 2018 season, Bass Pro Shops’ branding will be featured alongside Cabela’s through a continued partnership with Richard Childress Racing.
Bass Pro and Cabela’s, which merged in a $5 billion deal in September, will be the primary sponsors of driver Ryan Newman’s No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro SS during the Feb. 18 Daytona 500 and several other races during the 2018 season. Through the partnership, Bass Pro also will be the primary sponsor in the Xfinity Series with drivers Austin Dillon and Ty Dillon, as well as a seasonlong associate sponsor for the Cup and Xfinity Series, according to a news release.
Bass Pro’s logo will brand the majority of the hood, with Cabela’s on the bottom of the hood and rear panel surrounded by Cabela’s signature green.
“Our relationship with Bass Pro Shops dates back to the mid-1990s,” RCR Chairman and CEO Richard Childress said in the release. “Next season will be exciting as we welcome Cabela’s, the iconic outdoor brand acquired by Bass Pro Shops, to the RCR family.”
In October, Bass Pro announced it signed a new NASCAR contract extending its sponsorship with Furniture Row Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. through 2018.
