Apple announces iPhones will share location for 911 calls

Apple announced it will launch a feature on the iPhone that shares your exact location with first responders when you dial 911.

The feature will roll out this fall along with iOS 12.

Each year, there are more than 240 million 911 calls. They are handled in the United States by 6,000 call centers managing 25,000 different software systems, according to USA Today.
