Apple acquires Canadian app development startup

Apple purchased Vancouver-based app startup Buddybuild, according to a blog post on the latter's website.

Buddybuild helps developers design and build apps through GitHub, BitBucket or GitLab.

The Buddybuild team is joining Apple's Xcode engineering group to "build amazing developer tools for the entire iOS community," according to the blog post.
