Altar'd State to open inside Battlefield Mall

Posted online

Fashion boutique chain Altar'd State is planning a spring opening for its first southwest Missouri store.

Contractors are scheduled on Feb. 1 to begin renovating a 4,577-square-foot space inside Battlefield Mall, located across from Buckle near JCPenney. The store is expected to open May 1, according to a news release.

“This beloved brand has such a strong following all across the country, and we are thrilled that Springfield residents will soon have the opportunity to shop there,” Battlefield Mall General Manager Michael Martin said in the release.

Altar'd State, which has three other Missouri stores, operates more than 70 locations in 23 states, according to its website. The stores sell women’s apparel, footwear, jewelry, home decor and other products.

The chain also is known for giving back to the community through food, clothing and education programs for children, and plans to donate a portion of its Springfield sales each week to local charity efforts, according to the release.

At Battlefield Mall, Altar'd State will join some 150 retail stores anchored by Dillard’s, JCPenney, Macy’s and Sears.
