A shareholder lawsuit accused Google parent company Alphabet's board of playing an "active and direct role" in approving a $90 million exit package for a former executive.
The suit claims the board approved the funding for Andy Rubin, a senior executive, even though a sexual harassment investigation into him was deemed credible.
“The directors’ wrongful conduct allowed the illegal conduct to proliferate and continue,” the lawsuit said. “As such, members of Alphabet’s board were knowing and direct enablers of the sexual harassment and discrimination.”
An Alphabet spokesperson declined to comment.
