Architect and Design: Hufft (Kansas City)
An abundance of natural light fills the home for R.B. Murray Co., as staff members say overhead lights are rarely turned on during business hours. The building was designed so the sun rarely shines directly into the windows – an intentional feature by Kansas City-based architect Matthew Hufft. The 6,000-square-foot space was designed to be ahead of the curve to avoid being obsolete at completion.
“We wanted to do something sustainable but also contemporary at the same time,” says Vice President Ryan Murray.
