Posted online
Dane Seiler is a leader who understands his professional success is directly dependent upon his ability to help his team succeed. In 2016, Seiler was promoted to president of CJW Transportation Consultants after 11 years with the company. In that time, Seiler has been part of some notable projects, including the Commercial Street streetscape, City Utilities Bus Transfer Station and the CoxHealth tower expansion. Seiler is a board member and officer for the Ozarks Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and an adjunct instructor of transportation engineering for Missouri State University.

What was your first job? Working at my grandfather’s salvage yard periodically throughout the summer.

What was your professional “aha” moment? The first time a project I had worked on was built, I knew that I had chosen the right profession.

What about your job would shock clients? I think my clients would be shocked at how competitive I am about my job and how I strive to treat every project like it is my only project.

What did you learn the hard way? Trust yourself and your instincts. Sometimes that is a better indicator than any information.

What’s your most treasured possession? Good friends and my kayak. No better recharge time than spending some time on a beautiful Ozarks stream with some good friends.
