2017 40 Under 40 Honoree: Andy Williams, 38

Posted online
Expertise in health care financial management and a heart for youth organizations is the formula that adds up to great success for Andy Williams. In his 15 years working closely with a variety of rural and urban health care providers, Williams has assisted his clients in the implementation of significant internal changes. In his spare time, Williams lends his financial expertise to the board of Missouri State University’s Christian Campus House, which had a profound impact on his own life during his time as a college student at MSU. He also works with the executive council of Ozark Trails Boy Scouts of America, an organization that helps to build the character of his three sons and countless other boys in the community.

What was your first job? Dishwasher at Mazzio’s Pizza

When did you realize you had grown up?  When I was holding my first-born son. The joy and fear of it all.

What did you learn the hard way? Double check that you packed pants before you leave for a week out of town. It’s really expensive if you don’t.

What was your professional “aha” moment? My first presentation in front of a $1 billion health system. You have to be prepared and know the stuff.

What’s your greatest regret? Passing on studying abroad while in college

What’s your most treasured possession? My ball glove. It gives me an opportunity to play catch with my boys where they spend time sharing and talking for hours.
