SBJ to honor area's Most Influential Women

The 15th-annual class of Most Influential Women has been chosen by an independent panel of judges and will be honored at an Oct. 10 luncheon.

The award recognizes the leadership, influence and civic involvement of 20 women from across southwest Missouri.

The 2014 Most Influential Women honorees, in alphabetical order, are Sharon Alexander, Legal Services of Southern Missouri; Dot Atkinson, community volunteer; Becky Borthwick, Springfield Municipal Court; Amy Carr, Jordan Valley Community Health Center; Sharon Day, Metropolitan National Bank; Amy Fite, Christian County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office; Jennifer Growcock, Polsinelli PC; Mary Beth Hartman, Hunter Chase & Associates Inc.; Stephanie Hein, Missouri State University; Jann Holland, Drury University; Kim Inman, Missouri Association of Manufactures; Amanda Kastler, Elliot, Robinson & Co. LLP; Alina Lehnert, Lehnert Leadership Group LLC; Summer Massey, Arvest Bank; Helen Oke-Thomas, CoxHealth; Cora Scott, city of Springfield; Judy Spencer, BancorpSouth; Carol Taylor, Evangel University; Amy Wilkerson, Southern Missouri Bank of Marshfield; and Victoria Williams, Reliable Chevrolet Inc.

The Most Influential Women luncheon will begin at with a silent auction at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at University Plaza Hotel Convention Center, 333 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.

Springfield Business Journal has partnered with Springfield not-for-profit Women in Need for the event in an effort to raise money and help offer resources to enable women and provide a hand up.
