2013 Most Influential Women Honoree: Holly Beadle

Posted online
After taking a hiatus to care for her children, Holly Beadle kickstarted her career, and within a year, earned a hefty promotion.

Beadle, who started at Hospice & Palliative Care of Springfield in August 2012 as hospice liaison, was promoted to director of business development this July.

“Restarting a career in a new field and earning a promotion in that new field after only 11 months has been a significant accomplishment for me,” Beadle says. “After getting my feet wet in this new field, I saw great potential for the company’s growth by doing more to promote the compassionate, caring staff we have who do whatever it takes to care for our patients and their families.”

At the end-of-life clinic, Beadle has worked to develop Hospice & Palliative Care’s community outreach program, extend the company’s brand and introduce its staff to Springfield-area residents.

Even with a full load raising two children during her eight-year career break, Beadle managed to find time to donate to community endeavors, including volunteer work for Junior League of Springfield, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, the Nixa Education Foundation and the Christian County Homeless Alliance. Work for nonprofit organizations has allowed Beadle to practice what she calls her servant style of leadership.

Beadle currently serves as president for Nixa Education Foundation, which works to raise funds for Nixa Public Schools, enhancing programs for students, faculty and staff. A current member of the board of directors for Boys & Girls Clubs, Beadle also chaired the Christian County Homeless Alliance 2010–12 and served as vice president of finance 2011–12 for Junior League.

“I greatly enjoy helping a group or other individuals achieve their goals,” Beadle says. “That supportive role is the one that best suits me as a leader, and it is a style that is contagious. The effects ripple outward.”

While working with Beadle on the Nixa Education Foundation, Allison Cash noted her leadership abilities.

Beadle was instrumental in creating the Buck Up 4 NEF campaign, which included designing and launching a mobile app for smartphones and initiating a media campaign.

“It was in my initial time on the NEF board that I saw Holly’s keen ability to corral a group, set a vision and ultimately bring that vision to life,” says Cash, a marketer for Made Drinks Co. “In this endeavor, she not only led the group but also stepped in as needed to get it all done. Holly’s work ethic is admirable.”

Cash says in Beadle’s time as president of the education foundation, she has worked to set a strategic vision, recruit key board members and institute programs leading to significant classroom funding for teachers.[[In-content Ad]]
