Tim Schulte joined Davis, Lynn & Moots PC as a staff accountant performing audit and tax services. He is a graduate of Missouri State University.

Banking & Finance
Micah Scott was promoted to assistant vice president and small-business banking officer for Guaranty Bank. Scott began his career with Guaranty Bank in 2008 as a credit analyst. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from MSU.

Lance O’Neill joined Heim, Young & Associates as a registered investment representative. With 14 years of business and finance experience, O’Neill is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and earned a business management certification from Cornell University.

Education
Andy Denton, vice president for enrollment at Evangel University, received a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Saint Louis University. Denton received a bachelor’s in business administration from Evangel and an MBA from MSU.  

Health Care
Dr. Christopher Spinelli joined Ozarks Community Health Center as a pediatrician at the OCH Northside Clinic. The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate completed his residency at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Miss.

Human Resources
Candi Jones was named Penmac Staffing Services’ human resources generalist. Jones has worked for Penmac for nearly four years and has a bachelor’s in HR from MSU.

Insurance
MetLife financial service and investment advisers Lisa Jones and Matt Swatek received President’s Level of Recognition awards. Jones has worked in the financial services industry for 18 years and Swatek for 14 years.

Law
Dwayne Fulk joined Polsinelli Shughart PC as a shareholder who will focus on business, real estate, technology and international law matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. Fulk, formerly a partner with Neale & Newman LLP, holds a law degree from Duke University.

The Court en Banc for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri selected David Rush for appointment as a U.S. magistrate judge, a position to become vacant upon the retirement of the Hon. James England in November. Rush, who currently serves as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Missouri, is slated to sit as a magistrate judge in the district’s Southern and Southwestern divisions in Springfield. Rush has worked as a federal prosecutor in Springfield since 1990. He received a law degree from the University of Iowa School of Law and an undergraduate degree from MSU.

Marketing
Lucas Case joined the marketing and public relations department of Schultz and Summers Engineering. Case recently served as political director for State Treasurer Sarah Steelman’s U.S. Senate campaign.

Media
KTTS-FM was awarded a National Edward R. Murrow Award in the category of Continuing Coverage for the station’s work covering the EF-5 tornado in Joplin last year.

Nonprofit
John Price, Springfield Sister Cities Association immediate past-president, received the Gift of Time award for his involvement and leadership with SSCA.

The Rotaract Club of Springfield elected its 2013 board members: Adrienne McCoy of Ronald McDonald House, president; Lindsey Neddenriep of Ozarks Food Harvest, president-elect; Zach Swartz of BKD LLP, secretary; Meredith Bosso of Schultz, Wood & Rapp, treasurer; Steven Rosetta of Rosetta Construction, sergeant-at-arms; Kelly Smith of Trend Management Inc., director of professional development; Keith Stewart of KPM CPAs, director of public relations; and Weston Kissee of Edward Jones, past president.  

Real Estate
The CCIM Institute designated three R.B. Murray Co. agents Ross Murray, Ryan Murray and Jeff Hays as Certified Commercial Investment Members. CCIMs must complete a curriculum that covers market analysis, ethics, interest-based negotiation and financial analysis. Additionally, Ross Murray was inducted into the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, an association of 3,000 members that recognizes individuals who have stood out based on their industry knowledge and experience.

Recreation
J.R. Huyck was named general manager of Battlefield Lanes bowling center. Huyck has 19 years of sales and management experience and worked previously as a business development manager for U.S. Foods.

Ensemble Travel Group named Great Southern Travel one of its Top 25 producers for its 2011 sales in U.S. preferred supplier products, which included sales associated with cruise lines, tours, airlines, rental car and travel insurance companies. Mike Detrick, vice president and managing director of Great Southern Travel, and other top producers, were awarded a five-day Mediterranean cruise in recognition of the firm’s performance.

Sales
Anthony Carubba joined SignalPoint as national sales director. Carubba, who has 25 years of experience in financial services, previously worked as national sales manager with Montage Investments.

Irvin Russ Riley, of Springfield, was awarded the Outstanding Salesman Award from Souder-based The Concrete Works LLC. Riley, who joined Concrete Works a year ago and has more than 30 years of sales experience, specializes in storm shelters and agricultural products.

Transportation
Shelia Schmitt joined City Utilities as director of transit to succeed Carol Cruise, who will retire in October after 38 years of service. Schmitt was formerly general manager of Greenlink Transit in Greenville, S.C.[[In-content Ad]]
