Drury University employee found shot in West Plains

The Springfield News-Leader reports Drury University's director of West Plains and Thayer campuses is undergoing treatment at a Queen City hospital for gunshot wounds.

Tammy Hathcock, who has been employed by the university since 2005, reportedly drove herself to a West Plains school Monday to ask for help after being shot. Howell County Sheriff Mike Shannon said Hathcock was shot at a residence and drove to the nearby Fairview School.

No suspect has been named and further details were unavailable Tuesday.
