2015 40 Under 40 Honoree: Chris Jarratt

Chris Jarratt measures his success based on how well other businesses perform.

"Helping our clients grow is our business but more importantly it's our passion," says Jarratt, who founded Revel Advertising in October 2010 with his wife Nicole, a 2014 40 Under 40 honoree.

The agency has since grown to comprise over $1 million in billings and an impressive slate of clients, including Missouri State University Athletics, Employee Screening Services, Metropolitan National Bank, Mercy Research and Development, Stainless Fabricators Inc. and Paragon Architecture Inc.

“I have built a team of professional, talented and driven individuals who take our clients’ success personally, and I can honestly say that I could not be prouder of the people who work for me and the clients we work with,” says Jarratt, who’s also creative director for his firm.

A proud moment for Jarratt came when client Paragon Architecture earned the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award.

“Our No. 1 job at Revel is to help our clients’ businesses grow. Since starting to work with them in 2011, they have more than doubled in size, and they did so in a time when architecture firms across the country were closing their doors,” Jarratt says.

While a boon for his company, Jarratt says winning the marketing contract for the Springfield Regional Economic Partnership, a program launched by the chamber to promote jobs and investment in a 10-county region, is helpful for all local residents.

“What I am most proud of is the difference our involvement in the organization can make in our community,” he says. “Working with the Springfield Regional Economic Partnership has given me a new sense of pride in our community and in my direct involvement in helping to grow our incredible community.”

In his civic work, Jarratt serves on the board of directors for Champions Committed to Kids, a nonprofit working to connect children with medical conditions or disabilities with local athletes. He helps to raise funds and leads marketing efforts for the organization. He also provides pro bono services to organizations including Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks and United Way of Southwest Missouri.

Shortly after marrying his wife, the couple adopted Jarratt’s half-brother, who was 10 at the time and living in an unstable home environment.

Now a freshman at Missouri State University, his brother has become a very productive member of local society.

“He graduated with honors from his high school and is now tackling college with the same zeal,” Jarratt says. “Not only is he successful in his education endeavors, but he has learned the value of giving back and has signed up to help hurricane victims on the coast and plans to study abroad next year so he can further his cultural experience.”[[In-content Ad]]
