Fastest-growing firms named to 2015 Dynamic Dozen

Posted online
The Springfield Business Journal Dynamic Dozen event tallies its 12th year in 2015, celebrating a dozen dozens. To mark the occasion, SBJ added a new award: Judge’s Choice, honoring a company dynamic in every aspect of business, based on company essays.

The scores have been tabulated and the results are in for the 2015 class honoring the 12 fastest-growing Ozarks companies. Along with the 12 companies, SBJ also will honor five local professionals with individual awards.

The Dynamic Dozen companies, in alphabetical order, are: Build LLC, Burgess Aircraft Management LLC, Citizens Memorial Healthcare, Corporate Business Systems, CoxHealth, GigSalad, MaMa Jean’s Natural Foods Market LLC, Marlin Network Inc., Paragon Architecture Inc., Phoenix Home Health Care Inc., Red Monkey Foods and S&H Farm Supply Inc.

The Dynamic Dozen companies are determined through a numbers-based formula that awards points for both annual revenue and percentage growth for 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Eligible companies must report gross revenue of at least $500,000 for each of those years, and they must operate headquarters in SBJ’s coverage area within 50 miles of Springfield.

A third party, owner of Abacus CPAs LLC Bill Dunton, verified the numbers in the Dynamic Dozen applications.

Determined by an independent panel of judges, individual honors will be awarded in five categories:
  • Top Local Executive: Mark McFatridge, president and CEO of Metropolitan National Bank;
  • Top Local Financial Officer: Leah Ann Iaguessa, chief financial officer for Penmac Staffing Services Inc.;
  • Top Local Sales/Marketing Professional: Zac Rantz, chief communication officer for Nixa Public Schools;
  • Top Local Human Resources Professional: Christopher Bos, director of human resources for Mercy Hospital Springfield; and
  • Employee of the Year: Martin Gugel, interim assistant director of public works for the city of Springfield.
The Judge’s Choice Award honors a company whose dynamic qualities extend beyond revenue to impact the community. Honored for innovative growth, civic awareness and philanthropic efforts communitywide, the judges selected JMark Business Solutions Inc. for the inaugural honor.

Rankings for the Dynamic Dozen companies will be announced and the individuals will be honored at a May 14 reception and awards ceremony at DoubleTree Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave. For more information and past honorees, visit SBJ.net/D12.

Profiles of the honored companies and individuals will appear in a special publication debuting at the event and distributed in SBJ’s May 18 edition.[[In-content Ad]]
