Springfield T-Mobile call center hiring 75

Posted online
T-Mobile USA on July 16 will hold a hiring event with a goal to hire 75 additional full-time customer service representatives for its Springfield call center. The event is scheduled 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the center, 2645 N. Airport Plaza.

The hirings are expected to occur during the next two months, according to a news release.

T-Mobile held a similar event for its Springfield call center in May, when it hired 65 full-time customer service and sales representative employees. Its goal at the time was 60, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

Springfield T-Mobile call center General Manager Mark Conrad, who could not be reached for comment by deadline, said in May that the employees it was seeking then were filling roles that became available due to attrition.

In the May 23 story "T-Mobile hiring for Springfield call center," Conrad said the hirings were unrelated to the closures of seven of T-Mobile's 24 call centers, announced in late March. The Lenexa, Kan., call center is one of the affected locations, but it wasn't clear whether employees from other call centers will relocate to Springfield.
