KPM, ServiceMaster mark key 1Q real estate moves

Posted online
KPM CPAs and an Illinois industrial cleaner marked significant changes in the Springfield real estate landscape during the first quarter, according to real estate market tracker Xceligent’s latest Market Trends report.

KPM vacated its nearly 20,000-square-foot headquarters, 2003 E. Sunshine St., after moving late last year to a newly constructed building at 1445 E. Republic Road.

The move to 33,000 square feet of space at the Bill Beall Co.-constructed building was necessitated by KPM’s September 2013 merger with Davis, Lynn & Moots PC and November merger with Hlavacek Morris McIntyre Yates & Danielson PC, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

In the industrial sector, C-RAAP LLC purchased a 17,200-square-foot light industrial facility in west Springfield at 6537 W. Independence Drive. The building is near the intersection of Interstate 44 and State Highway MM.

C-RAAP LLC is registered by Steven VanDerBerg, president and CEO of Rockford, Ill.-based ServiceMaster Restoration, a franchisee that performs water and fire damage restoration, mold remediation and carpet cleaning, according to a release.[[In-content Ad]]
