Chamber picks Rick's Auto for small-business award

The recipient of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award is Rick’s Automotive. The award was presented at a luncheon today at The Tower Club as part of local Small Business Week festivities.
 
Led by President Rick Hughlett, Rick’s Automotive was founded in 1980 and posted 2011 revenues of $5.1 million. The company, which employs 35, recently completed a $2 million expansion of its headquarters at 2121 S. Campbell Ave., bringing its total size to 28,000 square feet with 28 service bays.
 
The four other finalists for the award were: DeLong Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning; Midwest Metro; Old Missouri National Bank; and Pension Consultants.[[In-content Ad]]
