CoxHealth announces second Walmart clinic

Posted online
CoxHealth is opening a second Walmart clinic in the Ozarks two months after launching its first at the South Campbell Avenue supercenter in Springfield.

The second location of The Clinic at Walmart will open in the supercenter in Republic, at 1150 U.S. Highway 60, on May 4, according to a news release.

CoxHealth reports that the first location has been successful, having treated nearly 600 patients from 76 different ZIP codes in its first month of operation.

"We know the need for the type of affordable, accessible care offered by these clinics extends beyond Springfield, and we are excited to meet those needs by opening this clinic in Republic and others in the coming months," said Tom Luthy, administrative director of CoxHealth Regional Services, in the release.

The clinics offer basic health care services, including check-ups, immunizations, screenings and treatment of minor injuries. They are open seven days a week, including evenings.

Walmart has 32 in-store clinics in eight states.[[In-content Ad]]
