The United States economy depends on trucks to keep things moving. In fact, over-the-road trucks deliver nearly 70 percent of all freight transported annually, accounting for $671 billion worth of manufactured and retail goods in the U.S. alone. A good percentage of that freight is moved in Volvo Trucks, one of the leading heavy truck and engine manufacturers in the world.

While Volvo Trucks manufactures a broad line of on-highway and vocational Class 8 vehicles, Tri-State Truck Center gets a number of drivers behind the wheel and keeps many of those trucks on the road.  Serving the Mid-South since 1945, Tri-State is a fourth generation family owned and operated business with nine locations in Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi. The company expanded into the Springfield market in 2013 and brought their experience, resources, and commitment to over-the-road and local truck drivers with them.

With new and used truck sales and leasing, parts, and service departments, Tri-State is the only Volvo dealership in the area. When the company opened their doors almost 60 years ago, their primary offering was Mack Trucks. Relying on the manufacturer’s reputation, quality, and longevity, Mack was the perfect fit for the growing company. Since then, Tri-State has not only provided decades of reliability with the Mack brand, in 2005 they expanded to integrate the Volvo line. As a Volvo Truck dealership, Tri-State is able to access Volvo’s world-class dealer network, and offers their customers an MV SELECT Part Store with 24/7 online parts ordering, Volvo-trained truck specialists, and genuine Volvo parts.

“Volvo gives us an extension of what Tri-State has with the Mack product,” Tri-State’s Branch Manager Tex Beal said. “Bringing the Volvo line to Tri-State increases our ability to serve our customers and keep trucks on the road.”

Tri-State has been named a Mack Dealer of the Year twice in the past four years, as well as a Leasing Dealer of the Year twice, making them a recognized industry leader. With a thorough understanding of the trucking industry, Tri-State’s new and used truck sales and leasing, parts, and service departments can serve any customer in any application. With a mission to constantly improve the quality of their services to fully meet the changing needs of their customers, the integration of the Volvo line is a natural progression that allows Tri-State to offer top-of-the-line options through their sales and leasing departments, and their highly trained service department has access to state-of-the-art technology to keep trucks moving.

“At Tri-State, Volvo and Mack are the perfect combination, because we are able to fully sell and service everything from dump trucks and local delivery trucks to semi trucks,” Beal concluded. “With our ongoing commitment to excellence, these are the best brands in the industry to represent.”
