Nearly 70% of all the freight moved in the U.S. is moved by truck, and approximately 9.2 billion tons of commodities, components and finished products are being loaded on to trucks and transported annually. Serving the Mid-South since 1945, Tri-State is a fourth generation family owned and operated business with nine locations in Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi. Tri-State purchased Southwest Missouri Truck Center in October 2013 and kept the staff in place. Tex Beal, Tri-State’s Branch Manager, sees both the location and the existing staff as win-win for the company. “We’ve had to make very few changes. Here in Springfield we have a great market, a great location, and a great staff.”
