The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce has hired executive search firm Waverly Partners LLC and commissioned a search committee comprising board members and community leaders to select the next president and CEO of the organization.

The organization's 26-year leader Jim Anderson announced plans last month to retire this summer.

Chamber Board of Directors Chairman-Elect Tom Hilmes of CNH Reman LLC and past Chairman Brian Fogle of Community Foundation of the Ozarks will co-chair the search committee, which will work with Cleveland, Ohio-based Waverly Partners in its local, regional and national search, according to a news release.

Other members of the search commitee include:
  • Jeff Schrag of The Daily Events and Mother's Brewing Co.
  • Richard Ollis of Ollis & Co;
  • Teresa Coyan of The Network and CoxHealth Business Development;
  • Tim Rosenbury of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc.;
  • Gary Powell of Springfield Business Development Corp. and Husch Blackwell LLP;
  • Krystal Russell of Payroll Vault;
  • Brad Bodenhausen of the chamber and Missouri State University;
  • Debbie Shantz-Hart of Housing Plus LLC;
  • Ann Marie Baker of UMB Bank;
  • Clif Smart of MSU;
  • Tim Bellanti of Associated Wholesale Grocers;
  • Dr. Robert Spence of Evangel University;
  • Tim Connell of Connell Insurance Inc.;
  • Joe Turner of Great Southern Bank;
  • Jerry Harmison of Harmison & Pearman PC;
