One in five people are at risk for vision loss, yet less than 50% of Americans get regular eye exams. Routine examinations and preventative care can address many vision problems, and oftentimes prevent vision loss. No matter how young or old, eye exams on a regular basis are a vital component of overall health.

For decades, the professionals at Sunshine Eye Clinic have been helping people see things clearly. Known for their state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and old-fashioned service and patient care, Sunshine Eye Clinic is committed to solving their patient’s vision problems, not just reacting to them. With the primary mission to provide quality eye care, Drs. Bary Brown, Ronald Keeling, Brenda Carrell and Chris Boschen work each and every day to deliver excellence to their patients.

“We serve our patients best by taking time to listen to their concerns and needs, and by allowing them to be active participants in their eye care experience,” Dr. Boschen said. “We then offer our experience and expertise to tailor a treatment plan that will best suit their needs.”

Each visit starts with a comprehensive examination and ends with high quality products to help each patient achieve the best vision possible. Recognizing that vision health depends on much more than a comprehensive eye exam, Sunshine Eye Clinic provides multiple options for their patients. In addition to offering the latest in fashion eyewear, they have the newest in contact lens and eyeglass designs, as well as specialty contacts for astigmatism, bifocal contacts, extended wear contacts, and specialty contacts for patients with corneal diseases like keratocconus. They also offer the latest in eyeglass lens designs, including the new digitally surfaced progressive bifocals.

“Our ideal patient is one who takes an active role in their eye care and wants quality care and products. Anyone can sell cheap contact lenses and eyeglasses,” Dr. Boschen said. “Our philosophy is to gain the trust of each patient, provide them with quality services and products, and make sure that they can see well, look good, and be healthy.”

Sunshine Eye Clinic was established in 1967 in a renovated service station near downtown Springfield, and from the beginning has been committed to family vision service and care in the Springfield area. The practice works with patients of all ages, and provides services that are unique to each age group. In 1989 the practice moved to their current location at 1441 E. Sunshine, and their commitment to service has remained unchanged.

“We have been in Springfield for decades and we plan on continuing for many more,” Dr. Boschen concluded. “We know that by staying focused on patient satisfaction, and offering each patient a unique and enjoyable experience, we can make that a reality.”[[In-content Ad]]
